[TAKEOVER] Childhood - Childhood is the best age of our life. I photographed this little boy in a garden. He was trying to catch ducks. I also love the golden light here. . My name is Sachin Chauhan. I am an India based self-taught street photographer. I have been doing photography for the last three years. Street photography is like meditation for me. I always believe, photography is not about expensive gears and tools, it is about capturing souls in your frame. I love composing my street photographs in color. I love to shoot candid and moody street shots. I’ll be showing some of my work via the BSPF on the following days. . Check out the full interview with Sachin on our website. Link in bio. . "Orwellian police state II"- (Location disclosed), Xinjiang, China, November '19 --------- I hitchhiked around Xinjiang in November 2019 to photograph the life of the normal people when oppressed by the Chinese government. With 2 million people in concentration/extermination camps and the rest living in an Orwellian police state that doesn't allow foreigner contact, I had to go there and see it with my own eyes. As a German, I saw history repeat itself before my very eyes. Every public building and many restaurants had SWAT equipment laying around, for 'security' they said. Because having a fullblown police swat team every 120 meters on every state wasn't enough 'security'. I managed to sneak a photo with this equipment, to showcast the intesity of the situation. For the people here, it's 'completely normal'. ----------- Olympus em5MII + Olympus 45mm1.8. #China #policestate#CaptureStreets #StoryOfTheStreet #Xinjiang #TheStreetPhotographyHub #StreetClassics #StreetLeaks #WeAreTheStreet #riotgear #Ig_StreetPhotography #EveryBodyStreet #StreetWeekly #StreetsGrammer #RawUrbunShotos #UrbanAndStreet #StreetLife #Life_Is_Street #StreetShared #hsinthefield #political #StreetMagazines #MoodyFilm #StreetLife_Award #StreetPhotography #inspirationcultmag #urban_shutter #all2epic #citykillerz #microfournerds

India really is a photographers paradise. The colors, the street life, the people, the architecture, the markets: everything screams ‘this needs to be photographed’. This photo was taken in the old part of Khajuraho, which was one of the most colorful villages we visited. Blue streets and of course roaming cows everywhere! #travel #india #travelindia #indiagram #incredibleindia #beautifuldestinations #khajuraho #travelgirl #passionpassport #wanderlust #sonya7iii #colorful #streetlife #betterplaces

Pub trivia. There are 15k independent pubs in the U.K. - each with their own unique personality. In Bangshila village, the first governmental school opened in 2052 B.S with all the basic facilities provided to attract the local marginalised ethnic children which linguistically only speak Tamang language. At the early summer of Baishakh, classes started to in roll. And, Tamang’s children of Bangshila village for the first time began to go to school. As all the textbook and medium of teaching was in Nepali language, it was difficult to read and write. But, as time passes by children who only speak Tamang began to communicate in Nepali. This is the simplistic example of linguistic conversion. Due to social, political and geographical reasons, many people tend to converse for the benefit it provides. In Nepal, Panchayat system(1960 to 1990)formally coded the concept of one country, one language where the diverse ethnic community was asserted to live under a single ruling identity-Nepali. Back 2 years ago, I went to Bangshila village to capture the faces of children’s standing between the divergence of linguistic onslaught and the process of reinstatement who by lack of governmental policy to protect multilingual community might be the last Tamang speaking generation of bangsila village.
