I got the bucatini carbonara where the bucatini was fresh and perfectly al dente 😩 This little hole in the wall in McLean was such a surprise. You get to select which type of fresh pasta you want to go with a wide variety of sauces🍴Loved the service and the dishes we tried 🤩 All the dishes were extremely budget friendly and overall ambience was warm and casual 🍝✨
Cooked this egg mee sua today - this is my go-to dish whenever I need some comfort or am simply feeling nostalgic. This was my favourite dish growing up and it became a family staple.
I’m quite picky with my mee sua - my favourite is the ‘sticky’ kind which isn’t easy to find nowadays but I managed to get mine at Sheng Shiong!
Mee sua our way: We stir fry garlic and ginger before making our egg chiffon omelette bits with ginger inside. Water is then added to make the soup which is flavoured with fish sauce, & soy sauce. Finish off with sesame oil and a splosh (or two) of XO or shao xing wine 😜
